WHO IS STEVEN?

Daisy black.png

Farm in Broome didn’t start with soil. It started with a dream—a quiet one whispered over city noise.

My late husband, Xiang, and I envisioned a life beyond the skyline: a patch of land with water running through it, a simple yet modern home, and a space where people could gather, create, and exhale.

As a member of the senior team at God’s Love We Deliver, I spent years in New York City producing events that brought thousands together—galas, festivals, dinner parties that flirted with magic. I have worked with some of the biggest names in fashion, food, and philanthropy, including Michael Kors, VOGUE, Aerin Lauder, Calvin Klein, and more. Each collaboration deepened my appreciation for the power of meaningful experiences.

But what stayed with me wasn’t the spotlight, it was the spark—the way people lit up when they felt seen, fed, and connected.

That love for creating meaningful experiences began long before the bright lights of the stage. I grew up in a big, noisy family where the kitchen was our heartbeat. Baking with my mother and grandmother taught me early on that hospitality isn’t just service—it’s love, it’s memory, it’s magic. That same instinct lives in this land.

When my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at just 30, everything shifted. I became his caregiver, his advocate, his constant. His courage and our connection shaped me more deeply than any career ever could.

Grief cracked me open—but through that, I found clarity, compassion, and an unshakable conviction to show up fully. For life. For others. For joy, even in heartbreak.

Farm in Broome is what bloomed from all of that. It's a little wild, a little wonky, and full of heart. We’re growing vegetables, yes—but we’re also cultivating relationships, rituals, and maybe a few dance parties under the stars. It’s a place where hands get dirty, stories get shared, and time slows just enough for you to notice how good the air smells.

Whether you’re here to plant, to pause, or just to snag a tomato and a good conversation, you’re welcome. This isn’t just a farm. It’s a feeling. A gathering place. A living tribute to love, legacy, and the beautiful mess of becoming.

Come as you are. We’re figuring it out one row, one laugh, and one perfectly imperfect carrot at a time.

Officially unofficial horticulturist, aquatic ambassador, and all-around dirt whisperer.

If it grows, Kenny talks to it. If it swims, Kenny probably named it. Our resident Plant and Fish Guy, Kenny brings a mix of green-thumb magic, pond-side wisdom, and chaotic good energy to the farm. He’s been known to serenade seedlings, build backyard ecosystems out of spare parts, and sneak kale into just about everything.

Whether he’s elbow-deep in soil or giving pep talks to the fish (he swears they listen), Kenny makes sure life at Farm in Broome stays vibrant, wild, and just a little weird—in the best way possible.

Catch him by the greenhouse, near the pond, or wandering the woods with a suspicious number of clippings in his pockets.

Stella.jpg

Stella runs a tight ship at Farm in Broome. She’s small, sassy, and absolutely certain she’s in charge (because she is). When she’s not inspecting deliveries or policing toy usage, she’s napping with one eye open—just in case someone steps out of line.

CEO & Toy Enforcer

Lucy.jpg

Lucy may have the shortest legs in the business, but she covers more ground than anyone at Farm in Broome. Endlessly curious and just a little bit mischievous, she can be found inspecting every plant, sniffing around the fish, or sprinting off so you’ll chase her. Her playful spirit and lively energy bring warmth and joy to everyone on the farm.

Part Chihuahua, part Dachshund, full-time sunbather. When he’s not busy people-watching from his favorite perch, Amigo moonlights as the farm’s unofficial emotional support specialist—especially for the frazzled head of social media. Camera-shy but charm-heavy, he takes his job of keeping spirits high (and flies low) very seriously.

Director of Vibes & Fly Control

Chloe is the life of the farm—big, bouncy, and bursting with enthusiasm. He specializes in high-speed tail wags, surprise snuggles, and “helping” with anything Stella does. When he’s not chasing shadows or hiding in the shower, he’s making sure no one feels left out.
