 Hey Growers,
Â
There are lots of exciting developments happening at Farm in Broome this month. If youâre new here â welcome. Iâm building a working farm, retreat space, and healing landscape on nearly 100 acres in the Western Catskills.
Â
At its heart, this project is about honoring life, love, and legacy through the land. What started as a personal journey through grief has grown into something much bigger â a vision for community, creativity, and connection.
Â
To bring that vision to life, Iâve rooted Farm in Broome around three core pillars. Keep reading to learn what they are and how theyâre taking shape.
As always, thank you for being part of this journey.

The Heart of Our Approach
Â
Farm & Land Stewardship
I'm cultivating a diverse and sustainable working farm with fresh produce, chickens, bees, and rotational livestock. This includes a greenhouse, gardens, an orchard, and opportunities for hands-on learning. There will be a focus on ecological practices that support the long-term health of the soil and the surrounding community.
Â

I'll also be partnering with local farmers, makers, and craftspeople to create a truly regional experience. Whether itâs fresh eggs, handmade soaps, or a bouquet of just-picked flowers, youâll have everything you need when you arrive. All of it will be sourced with intention from nearby. These collaborations strengthen our local economy and celebrate the talent, care, and creativity of our neighbors.
Stay, Experience & Storytelling
Guests will stay in thoughtfully designed accommodations ranging from glamping tents to a modern container home. Each space offers a deep connection to nature without sacrificing comfort.Â

The lineup of modern accommodations includes tiny houses, stylish A-frames, tree houses, dome tents, and shipping containers. All are created with purpose, comfort, and attention to design detail.
Wellness is also woven into the experience. Cold plunges and a wood-fired sauna tucked into the forest offer quiet moments of release and renewal. With fire pits, forest trails, stargazing decks, and communal spaces, every visit is personal, peaceful, and unforgettable.
The farm will eventually host small-scale events, including micro weddings, artist retreats, and seasonal wellness weekends. Each experience is grounded in the rhythm of the land
and the stories we carry.
Root & Restore
This will be the nonprofit branch dedicated to healing, community, and education. Root & Restore at Farm in Broome will offer grief and wellness retreats, seasonal farm-based learning, and mission-driven programs for people navigating life transitions.Â

I'm especially committed to supporting veterans, caregivers, and individuals facing loss or post-traumatic stress. Farm in Broome will offer quiet spaces to rest, reconnect, and rebuild.
I'll partner with local schools, artists, and organizations to provide accessible experiences focused on growing food, living sustainably, and reconnecting with the land.
People will also be able to honor loved ones through memorial trees, benches, and birdhouses. Each will be paired with a QR code that shares their story and keeps their memory alive.
Where Are We Now

The land is secured, and the initial infrastructure is underway. I'm building the container home, preparing for the first accommodations and community events, and inviting early supporters to grow alongside us.
Â
I'm now putting together a team and spending time and energy on building a community online. We are sharing the story of Farm in Broome across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and an upcoming YouTube series.
